This collaboration aims to significantly boost Amazon’s electric vehicle (EV) fleet for last-mile deliveries, with a goal of reaching 10,000 units by 2025.
This partnership is a pivotal step in scaling up EV adoption across more than 400 cities in India, enhancing Amazon’s e-mobility progress, and supporting local entrepreneurs.
A Strategic Partnership for a Greener Future
Gentari Green Mobility India has teamed up with Amazon to strengthen the e-commerce giant’s electric vehicle fleet. This partnership aligns with Amazon’s ambitious target of deploying 10,000 EVs by 2025, up from the 7,200 units already in operation.
The collaboration is set to empower Amazon’s Delivery Service Partners (DSPs) by providing access to more 3-wheeler EVs, ensuring a seamless and eco-friendly delivery service.

As part of the agreement, Gentari will procure and mobilize EVs across key Indian cities over the next three years. They will not only deploy these vehicles but also provide comprehensive fleet management services to ensure smooth operations and maintenance.
This support will enhance the reliability and efficiency of Amazon’s last-mile delivery service, enabling timely deliveries with minimal environmental impact.
Enhancing E-Mobility Progress with State-of-the-Art EVs
Gentari Green Mobility India CEO Nikhil Thomas emphasized that this collaboration underscores Gentari’s commitment to deploying advanced EVs and operational strategies that align with India’s growing focus on e-mobility solutions.
The partnership also supports the government’s Electric Mobility Promotion scheme, which aims to foster a favorable environment for widespread EV adoption.
Empowering Local Entrepreneurs
Amazon’s electric fleet program not only aims to improve last-mile delivery but also provides aspiring entrepreneurs with the tools and infrastructure to build their own delivery businesses.
The EVs, capable of reaching speeds of up to 50 kmph and covering over 100 km on a single charge, are equipped with technology that offers real-time data on vehicle performance, ensuring operational efficiency and reliability.
